good days

yesterday was sweet...it started out with me finding out that i was approved for my unemployment, which obviously is a huge relief! hopefully i will get my first check soooooon!!! right after i found that out, beth wanted to see if i wanted to join her for india garden buffet, which of course i did...james met up with us and we had a lovely time. india garden in monroeville is so good...they have great service and the food is always super...and they don't put those yucky peppercorns in like the one in oakland has been doing recently. after that beth and i headed down to the library and then i went grocery shopping for the first time in ages. i love grocery shopping and have missed it. i made eggplant parmesan and the world's worst recipe for shortbread (it called for 3 T of baking soda, i should have known something was up!) at least the eggplant was good, even mike who's an eggplant hater, enjoyed it. jay was sick which was the only bad part of the day. mike, beth, and i watched old snl episodes and brokeback to the future on the computer.

today i am cleaning an organizing, but i bet no one will be able to tell because it seems our place is always in some sort of state of disarray. but it is snowing beautifully, i'm streaming a lovely decemberists concert from npr, and i may go out to eat with aaron tonight (anyone else want to come?) so it's shaping up to be another good day. i hope it's a good day for you all as well!
