i have the "1001 places to see before you die" daily calander and recently they described a most ideal vacation: cherry blossom viewing (known as hanami) in japan. apparently, the best place to go is yoshino-kumano national park where the mountain is graced with tens of thousands of cherry trees. sounds incredible. maybe someday...
