i'm listening to my "creepy" mix on itunes right now. i'm home alone and most of the lights are off...and i am pretty creeped! but i like it. the song i'm listening to at this exact moment is "still waters" by jim white. it was featured in a film that he helped make called "searching for the wrong-eyed jesus." beth and i saw it over the summer when we visited nick, chris, and troy in washington. it was a fascinating film; it was part documentary, part fiction about religion and music in the south. i'm anxious to see it again- i can rarely absorb all of a movie in one viewing-and this movie gave me a lot to think about. chris hoke and i got to talk a bit about it afterwards, but i was too shy to continue the conversation on the car ride home. i despise my shyness sometimes. i did have a nice discussion with beth about it and that was swell. anyway, it had some great music in it and the soundtrack is wonderful.
