loves and hates

i might start doing this on a regular basis, but we'll see.

loves:

1. my sunporch-not to be confused with the bird room/sunroom (which i also love of course.) yesterday i ate my lunch out there and read. it's a lovely little place to wind down. an insane little cloud burst hit as i was reading and the sunporch was the perfect place to experience it; i could feel the wind and the mist of the rain without getting drenched-it was like being outside in it minus the soggy feet.

2. food co-op soup-my lunch i ate on the porch was from the co-op. curried spinach soup. too good. way too good. i'm going to crave it forever. the co-op is the place for soup.

3. creative nonfiction-i'm finding more and more that nonfiction is my thing to read. and maybe someday, i'll try my hand at it.

4. red sauce with a bit of alfredo stirred in for kicks- i have to thank megan for that one. so good and way less fattening than straight alfredo sauce.

5. andrew bird-i think i'm in love.

hates

1. mechanical pencils-i found out last night that beth and kim hate them too! i hate that the lead always breaks, that the points rip through paper, and the way the eraser jiggles around like a loose tooth. and they're ugly.

2. trolls-i was organizing books at my site yesterday and the biggest book was "the trolls christmas." wow do i hate them. so ugly so awful. bonus hate points for tee-shirts featuring trolls.

3. having zero money-self explainatory.

4. "get 'er done" - we talked about this at training last week, then some dude at the ropes course said it, then i said it as a joke last night and everyone groaned. so why can't we all agree that the phrase should be thrown into the sea of forgetfulness?

i'll do one less "hate" in an effort to keep things positive. and i'm going to add:

bonus guilty pleasure!
sudoku. i'm really turned off to trends, especially trends with middle aged women like me mum (no offense mum). but at training one of the girls had a book and passed them out to everyone at our table and now i am quite addicted. i'm not too worried though because i can't see how it'll keep my interest for very long; it's the same 9 numbers over and over!
