connect four is a pretty big deal with my kids. they play tournaments, call who's going to play who games upon games in advance. it's serious. i catch a break sometimes because kids will want to play me, so i can sneak it without "calling it." today i lost miserably several times before closing out the day on a five game winning streak. i played quite a bit with my new pal jeffrey. i like him because he enjoys himself and doesn't take everything nearly as seriously as some of the other kids do. we were laughing today because one of the boys continually proclaimed that he was the "champion of champions." he was being sincere. we loved it.
