hooray for today!

i had quite a lovely day today...after a very good/very bad day yesterday. the most obvious bad thing about yesterday was getting our passenger side window busted in. awesome...many thanks to whoever was so cool to do that for us. there were some very nice things about yesterday though: seeing walk the line with joel (so good, even the second time!) and having some delicious panera soup (soup almost always makes my day better to soem degree!) then some grocery shopping, which i also enjoy. and there was much hanging out for the rest of the evening which was mingled with some not so good stuff.

today i spent most of my day out which i haven't done in a very long time and i found was very good for me. most of the time the mall makes me feel depressed, but i had a lot of fun there by myself today. i had a nice visit with chick-fil-a friends, got stuff with gift certificates, was treated to free food, chatted with people in stores and generally enjoyed myself. my favorite thing was talking to a little boy who had just lost his first tooth today.

i think i need to find a healthy balance of time at home and time out. on my days off, i used to try to spend some time at home and some time out, and the days i achieved that were the best. the last few weeks have been kind of sad for me because i've been stuck at home due to lack of money and a busted toe. but this week, not even a broken window and below zero temps will keep me in, so here's to me having a better week than the last few!
