yesterday was very pleasant. it was nice to have a day with jay. we hung around the house, made lunch, went to ikea, and had an almost free dinner at bahama breeze. i would like to comment on bahama breeze: i don't get it. it's good enough but i don't understand why a place that huge had a 50 minute wait. the places i don't go don't usually have 50 minute waits. we wouldn't have gone, but we had a $10 gift card.
on the ride out to robinson, jay and i had a great conversation about music. i've come to the conclusion that even though i feel that i am basically completely visually expressive when it comes to the arts, that there is nothing that emotionally involves me in as much as music. as much as i love photography , all the other visual arts, and movies, that music means the most to me. we were listening to neutral milk hotel-the areoplane over the sea when i was thinking/talking about this. i was thinking about how incredible it would be if there was a film that somehow captured all the emotion and grandeur of that album. but i couldn't come up with one that even came close. it was a really good conversation (no reference to g.i. joe intended).
at ikea we got a new billy. billy is our favorite. the was a door you could buy for him called billy bertby. it remended me of a name salad fingers would give to one of his friends.
later last night, joel, jason, and i met up with tessa and mike at india garden. it was a good time.
