Mark ParkeHarrison

This photo is on the cover of my photography textbook. Mark ParkHarrison makes these images with his wife Shana.

Of his work, ParkeHarrison says, "The scenes I depict display futile attempts to save or rejuvenate nature. I portray these attempts within my work by inventing machines and contraptions from junk and obsolete equipment...Within these scenes, I create a less refined, less scientific, more ritualistic, and poetic possibilities to work with nature rather than destroying it."
What I find most remarkable about their work is that it's done without digitally altering the image. You can look at the complete series of photos entitled The Architect's Brother here.
