bird room!

i have decided to give the sunporch a theme-birds! this was inspired by this armchair my grandmother gave me on sunday evening. (as a little side note-sunday was my gramma's birthday and she has been in ill health as of late and was limited to sitting on the couch. despite that, she said it was the nicest birthday she ever had because we all came to her and had individual conversations with her. this made me sad and also makes me want to spend more time with her) i don't want it to get out of hand and strictly be birds and always get crappy bird figurines as gifts so there are some guidlines to what kinds of bird things are worthy of the bird room. 1. everything must be bought second hand-yard sale, thrift store, etc, or come from another country. 2. unless it is handmade, it must be at least 25-30 years old. 3. no live birds-i like the idea of having a pet bird to some degree ( well i don't like the idea of keeping something that can fly in a cage) but the actuality of a pet bird is awful. i had two parakeets, mork and orson, and they were messy, mean, and so f-ing annoying! also, sleeping over the evangelistes' and being woken up at 7am by their love birds ( whom steve szumetz and i used to pray would die) will also strongly deter me from having a pet bird...although caneries are so cute! nonononono...i will not go through the torture of incessant chirping and strewn about seeds and bird poop ever again! another little side note about this chair, although he may seem to think the bird chair is ok in this photo, it has some strange affect on nico, which makes him attack it and race around the apartment afterwards. he's such a little weirdo.

tomorrow i don't work until 2pm, the latest i have worked in ages! i may just stay up late and watch a movie (jay is hanging out with dustin and the aforementioned steve szumetz so i have the place to myself)
